深圳市南山外国语学校创建于1995年9月，2012年9月发展成为一所集幼儿、小学、初中、高中为一体的现代化集团学校。深圳市南山外国语学校（集团）现有滨海学校、高新中学、文华学校、科苑小学、大冲学校五所分校及三个幼儿园8个校（园）区12个学部，校区沿美丽的后海湾滨海休闲带分布于具有深圳"硅谷"之称的高新科技园区至蛇口自由贸易区，与香港元朗隔海相望。集团占地总面积约120000多平方米，现有教职工700余人。

学校继承发展，彰显鲜明的教育特色。作为深圳市首批“素质教育课程改革特色学校”，学校在英语、体育、科技及艺术教育等领域特色凸显。大胆探索，形成南外英语教育“彩虹模式”；开发国际模联、同声翻译等系列校本课程，出版了全国第一套英语电影教学校本教材——《英语电影听说分级教程》；开设了德语、俄语、日语、韩语、西班牙语等小语种选修课；将法语课引进小学常规课程体系。足球、跆拳道、定向越野、少年高尔夫等项目成为深圳市传统特色学校项目，中央电视台曾对南外足球特色教育做了专题报道。成立了深圳市首家学校少年创新院，下设心理健康、车模、机器人、天文地理、生物、创客等六个研究所，被授予深圳市首批“深圳市创客实践创新室”。学生管弦乐团享誉省内外。

Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Language School was established in 1995 and has developed into a modern and educational organization, comprising of eight campuses: Binhai campus, Gaoxin campus, Wenhua campus, Keyuan campus and Dachong campus as well as three kindergartens. It covers an area of 120000m 2. There are now 8000 students, along with 700 teaching staff.
Situated along the beautiful Houhai Bay coastal recreation zone, the eight campuses are all located in various areas in Shenzhen, from high-tech park, which was named "Shenzhen Silicon Valley" to Shekou free trade zone and of the south of Yuen Long, Hong Kong.
Our school advocates a school culture of mutual tolerance, learning from each other and getting along with others, but not necessarily agreeing with each other, follows the “social commitment, rich knowledge and devoted practice” motto. The school carries forward a school spirit of respecting the truth, treasuring the virtue and refining the taste, pursuits a goal of establishing a distinguished research academy and cultivating a globally-minded student body. As the first batch of Quality-oriented Education Curriculum Reform Characteristic School, it specializes in foreign languages, physical exercise, science, and fine arts. It has developed a school-based curriculum such as Model UN, simultaneous translation and published the first set of English Film textbook-“Navigating English Movies”. Soccer, taekwondo, orienteering, golf and other projects have become Shenzhen traditional features school projects, The CCTV has even made a report about school’s soccer education.
